Tango on Iceland

The Tango Club Reykjavík presents the Tango on Iceland festival 2008! This year promises to be more exciting than ever with guest instructors and performers Pablo Villarraza and Dana Frígoli. Accompanying them from their company Dni Tango are Sebastian and Eugenia and Cristian and Carolina, who will perform a theater show on the opening night.

Also performing during the festival are 2 orchestras - the well-known Silencio, whose members hail from Uruguay and Argentina as well as Europe, and the Icelandic group Astor. Guest DJ will be Thomas Zelikman from Denmark.

The final day of the festival features a trip to the Blue Lagoon spa, where guests have the option to relax in the geothermal pool and have dinner before the evening's milonga. 

On offer are 4 levels of classes, from beginner to master level, making this an event everyone can take part in. There will be a milonga each of the 4 nights, featuring teacher's performances, plus a practica room open during the days. Also available for our budget conscious guests is inexpensive sleeping bag accommodation or accommodation in the homes of tango friends.
