SunSea Tango 1 - Sitges 2007
We found a small pre-festival practica in Barcelona yesterday - a great chance to warm up before the festival begins properly tonight. The practica was hidden away on the third floor of an apartment block in a small alley way close to Fontana metro stop and the crowd there was varied, everything from beginners to Argentinian teachers taking a break from teaching to enjoy the social dance. Although strangely enough the Swedes were in the majority with a total of 8. Sitges is warming up as everyone is descending on the small seaside resort -the mark of a good festival is when 'off-duty' teachers attend to enjoy the festival when they are not teaching - Ezequiel F, Eugenia, Pabllo, Moira, Sigrid and Mazen are here just to dance and socialise and Sitges is definitely the place to be this week. no doubt i would prefer being in Sitges than here. I guess many would like to... However...I think one of the reasons Pablo is there is that Barcelona is his base during his stay in Europe. He always returns to Barcelona after each festival he does. Im sure that Eze and Moira are staying with him. Have fun Simon and the rest of the swedes... If my knee would not hurt I might just look for a ticket...

Låter härligt, Simon! Dansa lite för mig med är du snäll! Själv är jag långt från tangon. Plockar smultron och blåbär, badar i den iskalla sjön och njuter av Smålandsskogen. Men nästa vecka bär det av tillbaka till civilisationen igen. Ser fram emot fler rapporter från Sitges! Kram!
