I was introduced to Tango in january 2005 and I've danced regularly since then. I take regular classes in Iceland and last summer I attended a 5 days workshop in Sönderborg in Denmark - that was great and I'm going there again this easters. Tango is becoming very popular in Iceland and we can go to Milongas every week - sometimes 3 times a week. Once a month we have a very nice Milonga in the old town - a old house that used to be a theater and has been renowated, The tango orchestra of the republic plays there - it is beautiful. The webpage is http://idno.is. Last autumn we began to dance in the National theater, our tango teacher Bryndís is DJ and its really great. I'm a member of the Tango club in Iceland and the webpage is http://www.tango.is There is a Tango festival in september each year which is very nice and we meet many foreign dancers who wisit Iceland on this occation. The summer of 2006 I travelled Europe and participated in Tangocamp in Greece, http://www.tangocamp.com That was magnificent experience and I can really reccommend this place. After spening 2 days in Athens we travelled a whole long day ;) to the Halkidki beach. The festival was held on the Gerakina Beach hotel - I have many pleasurable memories from this and would like to go again next summer.
