Laura Valentino

Hon bor i Island, och har varit medlem sen 17 februari 2006. Laura är inloggad nu, från Reykjavik, och är gazpachosugen.

Laura administrerar DJ Laura, Tango Club Reykjavik och Tangoadventure på den här sajten. Hon går oftast på händelser arrangerade av Tangoadventure och Tangokompaniet.

Laura presenterar sig själv så här:

I discovered tango by accident in the autumn of 2004. I had gone to a cafe at the Multicultural House and ran into a friend...she excitedly told me I had just missed a tango lesson and I must come next week and try it. I stayed that evening to watch for the first time what I later learned was called a milonga. I thought it made all of the women beautiful and the men sexy! And so I went the next week, and the week after that, and the week after that...

Tango is becoming more popular in Iceland. There is a website at http://www.tango.is with information about events and courses. There is the Tango on Iceland festival in September. I wish there were more single dancers here though. It is mostly married couples. update July 2007 There is another Icelandic website with tango events now: http://tangoadventure.com Tango Adventure and now the Tango Club are both offering courses and events for singles, so the scene is picking up!

In addition to tango, I enjoy photography and have a photo website at www.lavatop.com . No tango pictures yet though, but plenty of Iceland.
